Sophomore Corey Gooden was recently presented an award of excellence by South Park High School Principal Dr. David S. Palmer for attending the Congress of Future Medical Leaders in Boston, Massachusetts over the summer. The congress is an academic honors program. Students must have a 3.5 GPA or higher to attend.
While at the congress, Corey was taught by leaders in the medical field and mentored by prominent medical school leaders. Corey also had the chance to watch a live surgery.
