Fans who attended the first game at the renovated Eagle Stadium donated $2,384 to the American Red Cross hurricane relief fund. The money will go toward relief efforts following Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria.

The South Park School District did not charge admission for the home football game which was played on Friday, October 13. Rather, the district encouraged fans to make a monetary donation to the American Red Cross following this hurricane season’s devastating storms.

South Park faculty and staff collected donations at the ticket booths, and students from South Park High School collected donations from fans in the bleachers during the game.

Jennifer Gordon from the local chapter of the American Red Cross accepted the donation on Friday, October 20 during a check presentation at South Park High School.
