SPHS Shines at Gov. STEM Competition
South Park students shined at the 10th Annual Governor's STEM Competition and we have two exciting updates to share:
The SPHS team was named the People's Choice Award winner! The team of Nicolas Bove, Josh Kosmach, Ethan Rakip, Tyler Hoff, and Jason Gigliotti created a small scale working prototype that replaces traditionally used rebar with a shape memory alloy (SMA) to reinforce roadways and/or roadway structures. It was a Design and Development class student project as part of the SPHS Applied Engineering and Technology Program.
Senior Taylor Lowmiller's logo design adorned the notebooks that all student and teacher participants received at the event! She earned an honorable mention in the logo design contest.

Kudos to all of these talented students, as well SPHS teacher Mr. Eric Wisler!
