Katie Jackovic Wins Two Medals at PIAA Meet

Congratulations to senior swimmer Katie Jackovic for claiming two bronze medals at the PIAA 2A swimming and diving championships! Katie placed third in the state in both the 100 freestyle and the 100 butterfly to add to her collection of medals. At the WPIAL championship meet earlier this season, Katie brought home silver in the 100 butterfly and bronze in the 100 freestyle.
In addition to Katie, South Park had several swimmers and divers with successful performances at states. Diver Grant Newell placed 11th in his classification. The Eagles' Girls 200 medley relay team of Megan Beam, Gabby Schneider, Katie Jackovic, and Paisley Malacki placed 18th in the state.
