Acceptable Use Statement

South Park School District provides computer systems, software and Internet access for educational use only. Students and employees must abide by the District Acceptable Use Policy and all other District policies and procedures relative to the use of technology in the District. By accessing this computer system, the District network, and the Internet, I am affirming my obligation to abide by the District Acceptable Use Policy (Policy 815), District-Issued Device Policy (815.1) and all other applicable District policies and procedures. I recognize that failure to do so may result in disciplinary measures.

Board Policy 815 - Technology Acceptable Use Policy

Acceptable Use of Electronic Resources Policy 815

Policy 815 addresses the acceptable behaviors of users of District technology devices and the District network.

District Issued Devices Policy 815.1

Policy 815.1 specifically addresses the use and care of District-owned technology devices issued to students for their use within the school grounds and outside of school.

CIPA Compliance

The District is subject to  the Children's Internet Privacy Act and is  required to adopt and implement an Internet safety policy addressing:

  • The safety and security of minors when using electronic mail, chat rooms and other forms of direct electronic communications;
  • Access by minors to inappropriate matter on the Internet
  • Unauthorized access, including so-called “hacking,” and other unlawful activities by minors online;
  • Unauthorized disclosure, use, and dissemination of personal information regarding minors; and
  • Measures restricting minors' access to materials harmful to them.
