Late this afternoon, we were notified by another school district that a middle school volleyball player on that school district’s team has tested positive for COVID-19. The South Park Middle School volleyball team recently played a game against that player’s school. Out of an abundance of caution, this afternoon’s middle school volleyball games were canceled while the district contacted the Allegheny County Health Department for guidance. According to the Allegheny County Health Department, no players on the South Park Middle School volleyball teams are considered to be close contacts. Therefore, no South Park Middle School volleyball players will need to quarantine.

We will continue to act with the health of our students, staff and community as our primary focus.

Fever or chills

Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Muscle or body aches

Individuals who exhibit any of these symptoms should contact their healthcare provider immediately.
