Class of 2022:
As we get closer to Commencement, we wanted to review some important information with seniors and their families.
SENIOR CELEBRATION
Our Senior Celebration program will premiere on May 25 at 7 p.m. on South Park TV (Comcast channels 14 and 1090) and on YouTube.
YEAR-END TEXTBOOK & CHROMEBOOK COLLECTION
Year-end exams and textbook collection are taking place this week. Students are to return Chromebooks, chargers, books, calculators, athletic equipment, etc., by the seniors’ last day which is May 27. Seniors who do not have debts and fines cleared by June 3 will not receive their diploma at Commencement. We will inform students of any debts at our first graduation practice. Parents, please remind your seniors of this important detail. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
SENIORS’ LAST SCHOOL DAY
The last school day for seniors will be Friday, May 27. They’ll be treated to a cookout lunch that day.
COMMENCEMENT PRACTICE
Commencement practice will be on May 31 and June 1. Seniors are to report to their homeroom as if it were a normal school day (by 7:25 a.m.). Attendance will be taken in homeroom. Immediately following, seniors will report to the stadium for instructions. Practice will conclude at approximately 9:30 a.m., and seniors will be dismissed for home each day. In the event of inclement weather, Thursday, June 2 will be used as a make-up day if needed.
COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY
Commencement is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2022 at Eagle Stadium. Tickets are not required. Should inclement weather prevent the outdoor ceremony from taking place, the rain date would be Saturday, June 4 at 11 a.m. at Eagle Stadium. A second rain date would be Tuesday, June 7 at 6 p.m. at Eagle Stadium. Should a weather-related postponement be necessary, we will notify families via phone and email of the postponement of that evening’s ceremony by 1 p.m.
The ceremony will be live streamed on YouTube. The link will be sent to Class of 2022 families next week.
Students who are deficient in more than one (1) credit will not be permitted to participate in the Commencement ceremony. Those students who need to make up one (1) credit or less must have proof of registration for the summer class to the counselor’s office by June 2, 2022.
If you have any questions, please contact the high school office.
