South Park High School junior Ava Rongaus and senior Gianna Girol have been named 2022 Carson Scholars. Ava is receiving this award for the first time. Gianna is a 2022 recognized Carson Scholar after receiving the award her junior year.
Carson Scholars are identified by their teachers as students who pursue academic excellence while working to make the world a better place through service and acts of kindness. Carson Scholars receive a $1,000 scholarship. They are also recognized during an annual banquet where they are honored in front of their families, peers and educators.
