SPSD 2021-2022 COVID-19 Tracker

Active cases refer to individuals currently in the isolation period following a positive or presumed-positive case of COVID-19. These individuals are not currently cleared to return to school/work. Note: The district has revised its active count to align with the revised five-day isolation period from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Inactive cases refer to individuals who have completed the COVID-19 isolation period and are cleared to return to work/school.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health may recommend up to a 14-day suspension of in-person learning if 5% of students/staff in any building test positive in a 14-day period OR if there are three (3) simultaneous classroom/group outbreaks in a building. An outbreak is defined by the Pennsylvania Department of Health as transmission between two (2) or more students or students/staff teachers without other identified epidemiological links in three (3) or more classrooms and/or other core groups (teams, bands, etc.)
