At the South Park School District Board of Directors reorganization meeting on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, re-elected board members Lorraine Blackburn, Nicholas Rudolph and Frank Wentzel and newly elected board members Mark Depretis and Angela Girol were sworn into office for four-year terms. The Honorable Michael Thatcher administered the oath of office.
During the reorganization meeting, the Board of Directors elected leadership for 2020. The board re-elected Mr. John Innocenti as president and Mr. Frank Wentzel as vice president. Mr. Nicholas Rudolph was re-elected as assistant board secretary. Mr. Patrick Sable was re-elected as the 2020 legislative representative to the Pennsylvania School Boards Association. Mr. Wayne Perry was re-elected as the 2020 representative for the Southeastern Area Special Schools and Steel Center for Career and Technical Education board. Mr. Perry will also serve as the 2020 SHASDA (South Hills Area School District Association) representative.
The Board of Directors also set meeting dates for 2020. The board will meet on January 9, February 13, March 12, April 9, May 14, June 11, August 13, September 10, October 8 and November 12. The reorganization and regular meetings in December will be held on December 7. There is no scheduled meeting in July. All meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. in the South Park High School cafeteria. Changes to meeting dates and/or locations will be posted on the district’s website.
